Nestled in the Chitipa District of northern Malawi, about 100 kilometers from Karonga Town, lies a hidden paradise for nature lovers, coffee enthusiasts, and adventure seekers.

The Misuku Ecotourism Centre, situated near the Mughese Forest in the Misuku Hills of Chitipa District, Malawi, offers a unique blend of nature and cultural immersion. As a gateway to the pristine landscapes and vibrant traditions of the region, the center provides guided activities for guests, with revenue supporting biodiversity conservation and community development projects.

Visitors can explore the evergreen canopy of Mughese Forest, delve into local farming techniques and cuisine of the Misuku people, learn about honey collecting, or engage with community projects like beading or supporting local schools and health clinics.Guests can engage in guided activities, including Arabica coffee cultivation tours with local farmers culminating in cupping sessions.

ACCOMMODATION is available in cabins and a camping site, with options for self-catering or provided meals. T he center serves as a base for exploring the Misuku Hills, a paradise for nature lovers, coffee enthusiasts, hikers, and adventurers, showcasing the region's endemic bird and tree species, Mzuzu Coffee, and Misuku Honey. The hills are inhabited by the Ndali and Sukwa people, who have preserved their traditional way of life.
